Wrinkles reduced up to 70%? Try C02 Laser.

Introducing C02 laser!

This procedure is a great way to give you clear skin with a reduced appearance of deep wrinkles and sun damage. The great thing is – we know it works.

Before you book in for a personalised treatment with Dr. Scott Allison, here are a few essential details to help you make an informed decision.

What is CO2 Laser?

C02 is an ablative laser treatment.

Ablative laser treatments use C02 to renew the dermal and epidermal layer of your skin. The lasers heat up the water molecules in the lower layers of the skin, creating a healing response in your body. Little pulses of light are used to rejuvenate your skin to give it a natural looking glow.

C02 is a procedure that targets dark acne and sunspots. It breaks down the pigmentation in the skin to make it clearer. However, C02 helps renew the epidermal layer (topmost layer) of the skin to improve the appearance of pores and fine lines.

Together, they work like magic to provide a unique solution to reduce the signs of ageing skin.

Pearl Fractional is a procedure that targets dark acne and sun spots. It breaks down the pigmentation in the skin to make it clearer. However, Pearl Skin Resurfacing helps renew the epidermal layer (top most layer) of the skin to improve the appearance of pores and fine lines.

Together, they work like magic to provide a unique solution to reduce the signs of ageing skin.

What does the treatment involve?

This treatment takes about 30 to 60 minutes in total. When you come in for a consultation, we work with your skin goals to suggest the right treatment.

During the procedure, we clean and apply a topical anaesthetic to help with the minor discomfort that comes with the treatment. Your skin should feel a bit sore and appear red, this should settle within 7-10 days. You’ll be able to see significant improvement in your skin in a few weeks!

How does your body react to laser treatments?

The lasers work on the appearance of lentigines and wrinkles. Lengitides, also known as liver spots, appear on your skin when it’s been exposed to sunlight for a long time. Ablative and non-ablative lasers are both common methods of laser treatments used in cosmetic practices.

Ablative vs Non-Ablative Treatments- what should I choose?

Sounds technical? Ablative treatments remove the top layer of the skin. They’re more invasive compared to non-ablative treatments. They treat fine lines, wrinkles, scarring, certain pigmentation, uneven skin tone, pore size and clarity.

Non-ablative treatments, however work by heating the underlying skin tissue without damaging the top layer to increase collagen production. It will depend on your skin, your concerns and the level of downtime, to which laser would be best suited for you.

Benefits of CO2 Laser

C02 laser treatments have the potential to reduce the appearance of your wrinkles by 70%. The biggest advantage of this procedure is quick recovery periods! You notice significant differences in a very short period of time.

Here are some other benefits of C02:

  • Improves the appearance of wrinkles and breaks down pigmentation in your skin.
  • Promotes the appearance of clear and youthful skin.
  • A more refine and youthful complexion.
